Scholar in Residence Weekend: Danny Maseng

Join us for a magical Scholar-in-Residence weekend, February 29 through March 2, 2008. From the first notes of Shabbat through a special concert to a unique study session, Congregation Shir Hadash is pleased to present Danny Maseng.

Actor, playwright, singer, and composer, Danny Maseng is a man of many talents. Come and share a unique experience as Danny kindles the love of Judaism through Torah, culture, and song.

Join Danny Maseng as he sings with the Shir Hadash Choir. Listen as he shares The Secret of Shabbat: Chasidic philosophy and storytelling

Saturday, March 1st, 9:30 am

Our Torah was designed to hide and reveal endless meanings that could only surface after careful study. Peer behind the veils that cover the mysteries of our sacred Torah. Be a part of this very special Shabbat Service. From 9:30 AM to 11 AM, Danny will lead a discussion on Pardes: Vertical Torah reading. A short Service will follow from 11 AM - noon.
