The next Speaker Series event will feature Dr. Harold Luft, the Director of the Palo Alto Medical Foundation Research Institute. Dr. Luft received his degree in economics from Harvard University and has done significant research on HMOs, hospital competition, risk assessment and adjustment, and health care reform. He is an elected member of the Institute of Medicine and has served on its Council.

Dr. Luft is the author and/or editor of five books and has written over 200 articles in scientific journals.
