Throughout our history the faith and practices of the Jewish people have continuously evolved. In this class we learn about the historical, social and the economic drivers to understand how and why Jewish beliefs and practices progressively developed from early times through the codification of the Mishnah.

Using source materials from Jewish, Christian and Pagan sources we will explore a wide array of topics such as how our liturgy and traditions developed, sin & punishment, war & peace, life after death, legal justice and due process and much more.
