Community Shabbat Service

Date: Saturday, January 15, 2011
Time: 10:30 am
Location: Sanctuary

Join us for Tikkum Olam Shabbat Services on Friday evening and Saturday morning. The weekend of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King's birthday has become a time dedicated to community service. At Shir Hadash we will be marking that with our Mitzvah Day on Sunday, January 16.

Join Rabbi Aron and Lay Cantor Alissa Klar on Saturday, January 15 as we prepare for our day of service, with reflections on the origins and meaning of the Jewish concept of Tikkun Olam.

Rabbi Aron & Diane Fisher, JCRC Director, will lead a break-out session on immigration, as part of the immigration Torah study coordinated by the JCRC at all South Bay synagogues during the parshot of Exodus.

Babysitting will be available. The charge is $10 per child. Reservations are required; if there are no reservations by Thursday at 5 pm, the sitter will be dismissed. Please RSVP to Nadine at (408) 358-1751 x5 or nadine@shirhadash.org.
