Community Shabbat Service

Newcomers to Shir Hadash and others who are less familiar or comfortable with Jewish worship are encouraged to join us for this learner's Shabbat Service.

Ever wish you could ask a question about what’s going on during services? At the Introduction to the Basic Shabbat Service at Shir Hadash you can.

In this course you will:
* Gain an understanding of the reasons for the content and placement of the prayers and the customs that surround them.
* Learn some keys to services that will make them more meaningful.

It’s hard to be inspired when you’re feeling lost and confused. Join us to gain insight into what Shabbat services have meant to Jews of past generations and can mean to us today.

About the instructors: Rabbi Aron has been leading Congregation Shir Hadash in prayer since July 1990. Cantor Felder-Levy has been beautifying the services at Shir Hadash with her beautiful voice and leadership of the choir since 1996.
