Storytelling for the Younger Set

Date: Friday, May 20, 2011
Time: 8:00 pm
Location: Chapel Major

Join us for a variety-filled Shabbat evening and the first BBQ of spring.

The Synaplex concept is an analogy to movie theatres with many screens, offering several flavors of activities while providing a single place for the Shir Hadash community to meet and mingle.

Younger families can come to No Shush Shabbat at 6:30 pm and choose either an early pizza dinner at 5:45 pm or the BBQ dinner after the service, at 7:15 pm.

Everyone is welcome to the BBQ dinner at 7:15 pm followed by the 8:00 pm Shabbat Service with the Choir, honoring our high school graduates.

The Schedule:

5:45 pm : Early Pizza Dinner

6:30 pm : No Shush Shabbat Service OR

6:30 pm : Social time for adults - beer tastings and wine & cheese

7:15 pm : BBQ Dinner for all

8:00 pm : For the Younger Set: Bring your PJs and join children's librarian and storyteller Susan Denniston in the chapel for some stories before bedtime (PJs optional), OR

8:00 pm : Shabbat Service with the Choir, honoring our High School Graduates.

9:00 pm : Oneg with Jewish "Says You!", a game of words and whimsy, bluff and bluster!

Please RSVP for dinners to Nadine@shirhadash.org or (408) 358-1751 x5.
