Erev Sukkot and Consecration Service

Date: Wednesday, October 12, 2011
Time: 6:30 pm
Location: Sanctuary

We are now moving into the joyful part of the season--Sukkot!

At our Sukkot festival service, we honor the students who are beginning their formal Jewish education--kindergarteners and other students who are new to our program.

During the service, students are welcomed to the bimah, where we recite the Shema and say a blessing over them.

Students receive a miniature Torah scroll of their own, as well as a honey stick, that their learning should always be sweet.

The service begins at 6:30 and is preceded by an optional pasta dinner for $5 per person with advance RSVP.
