Religious School Program

Date: Saturday, October 8, 2011
Time: 10:00 am
Location: Sacred Heart Church

A High Holy Day Program for religious school students in grades K–6 will be offered during the morning services on Rosh HaShanah and Yom Kippur.

This year, K–4 will enjoy the traditional rotation of age-appropriate tefillah, art, and other activities, while grades 5 and 6 will delve into more sophisticated programming including hands-on Torah study, writing, and drama.

Please bring a vegetarian sack lunch. Children should be nicely dressed for holiday services. There is no charge for this program, but children must be registered to attend.

On Yom Kippur, Saturday, October 8, the program will be at Sacred Heart Church.

Keeping your children out of school on Rosh HaShanah and Yom Kippur can be an important part of their Jewish identity formation. It is also a sign of Jewish self-respect and solidarity. Please contact Rabbi Aron or Rabbi Levenberg if you would like to talk about this decision. Our local JCRC, under the direction of Diane Fisher, is available to help with any school issues.
