S'lichot Program - The Trial of Jacob

We prepare for Slichot, the opening service of the High Holy Day season with a special program introducing the theme of judgment.

The Defendant, Jacob, our forefather, will be represented by a team of notable defense attorneys. He will be charged with theft by trickery and elder abuse.

The prosecution team, lead by a local D. A., insists that the charges are serious. An expert medical witness will speak on the issue of Isaac's competency at the time of the stolen blessing. Jacob, his brother Esau, and mother Rebekah, will all take the stand.
