Havurot
What is a Havurah?
A Havurah is a group of up to 15 Temple families who gather on a regular
basis to socialize, celebrate Shabbat and holidays, and do Jewish things
together.
How do I Join a Havurah?
All Temple members are invited to join. Contact the Temple office, 408-358-1751, or
email .
Who Runs This Havurah?
Each Havurah is responsible for organizing and carrying out its own gatherings.
Typically, each member takes a role in planning and hosting the Havurah's
meetings.
What Does the Temple Do?
The board liaison to the Havurot assigns
interested congregants to Havurah groups.
The Rabbi, Cantor, Educator, and members of the
Religious School staff may occasionally be available to facilitate a Havurah's
discussion, or to speak on a particular topic.
From time to time, Havurah programs are held at the Temple.
The board liaison convenes meetings, twice a year, of representatives of
all of our Havurot.
