Shir Hadash Youth Groups foster friendship amongst the congregation’s children and teenagers by providing a fun and safe setting for our kids to come together to engage in exciting and meaningful programs. Events combine social activities with Jewish content, with a focus on the Jewish value of tikkun olam, repairing the world, and holiday celebrations. serves as the SHAGY youth advisor and Naomi Parker serves as the Member-at-Large overseeing our Youth program.

Shir Hadash Mitzvah Corps
This is a ground-breaking year for our 9th-12th grade youth program, as we are taking the youth group in a brand-new direction. After many conversations with our teens, we have decided to dedicate our 9th-12th grade youth program to the work of tikkun olam, repairing the world. Our senior youth group will now be known as the Shir Hadash Mitzvah Corps to reflect the change in our mission. We affirm that through engaging in the work of social action, our teens will create new bonds with their Jewish peers, as well as perform some good work in our community.
Shir Hadash Mitzvah Corps holds social events about once a month, usually on Sunday evenings.
- Interfaith “Stop Hunger Now” Event
- Jewish-Muslim Social Action Day
- Interfaith Creek Cleanup
- Health Fair
