2008-09 Religious School Registration
May 2008
Dear Parents of Religious School Students:
Thank you for a wonderful Religious School year! We are busy
planning for next year and are looking forward to a terrific
program. Because of the exciting remodel taking place this year,
there have been some changes to the Religious School schedule.
Please read the FAQ carefully!
This packet contains all the information you will need to
complete your child's application for Religious School or Hebrew
High. Please take advantage of our Early Bird pricing by
returning your packet by June 16. If you have any questions
about this process, or need help filling out forms, please call
our Religious School Administrative Assistant, Shanda, at
358-1751, ext. 2. The registration deadline is July 25, after
which a late fee will apply!
Our educational programs are:

Religious School (Kindergarten through 6th grade) meets on Sunday
mornings beginning September 7. There are two time slots: Early
Session meets from 9-11:10, and Late Session meets from
10:25-12:35. Early and Late Sessions are available on a
first-come, first-served basis. If having your student attend a
specific session is important, please get your application in
early!

Hebrew School (3rd through 6th grades) is on Tuesday or Thursday
from 4-6pm beginning Tuesday, September 2. Students attend class
either Tuesday or Thursday. Placement into Tuesday or Thursday
class is determined on a first-come, first-served basis. If
having your student attend a specific day is important, please
get your application in early. Although your request cannot be
guaranteed, we will do our best to accommodate as many requests
as possible.

Hebrew High (7th through 9th graders) is held on Tuesday evenings
from 7-9 pm beginning September 2.
For Hebrew High students who
are not able to attend on Tuesday evenings, we are planning to
offer a Sunday morning alternative for 7th-9th graders. Please
fill out the Sunday Hebrew High Interest form.
If we have ten students, we will offer the class.

Confirmation (10th grade) is one of the highlights of our
educational program. In addition to classes on Tuesday evenings,
the class goes on a trip, has mentoring sessions, does social
action projects, and participates in a Confirmation service.
The following items need to be returned along with your payment:

Registration Application.
One form needs to be completed for each
student. Please fill out each application completely as this
form is used in case of an emergency and all phone numbers are
very important.

Religious School students only:
4th-6th Grade Elective Sign-up Form.

Special Needs Information form.
This form is confidential and will help our staff provide the best learning
environment for your special needs student. If you have any
questions regarding this form please feel free to call me.

Fees Worksheet.
Be sure to return your forms by June 16 to
receive the "early bird" price! Any registration forms received
after June 16th will be charged the regular fees. At least 1/3
of the total tuition is due with registration. Fees may be paid
by check or credit card. The registration deadline is July 25.

Parent Volunteer form.
Please review the FAQ regarding attendance policies,
tutoring and other important information.

In order to register your child(ren) for Religious School, your
congregational account must be current. If you have any
questions regarding your account, please call Art Scher, the
Executive Director, at 358-1751 x9.
Tuition scholarships are available;
download the request form
and return it as directed on the form.
