- Men's Club Board Meeting in Room 2 at 10 am on Sunday, August 1.
- It's that time of the year again for Shir Hadash's annual backpack & school supplies drive. Please grab a tag off the tree located in the sanctuary lobby and head out for some school supplies. The backpacks will be donated to Next Door Solutions, which provides safe living for abused women and their children. Remember, no blue or red backpacks due to gang activity. If you are unable to go shopping, please consider donating a check for $35 instead. Please return your supplies no later than August 2 to the Temple office. Thank you! - The Origin & Meaning of the High Holy Day & Festival Prayer Books Class at Shir Hadash with Jeff Levin from 7:30 - 9 pm on Wednesday, August 25, September 1 & September 15. Contact Patty at 358-1751 x7 or patty@shirhadash.org to register for the class.
- Adult B'nai Mitzvah Sign-ups Begin Now. Celebrate your Adult Bar or Bat Mitzvah with our class on Saturday, June 4, 2011. Classes begin on Sunday October 10 & are held three Sundays a month. COMMUNITY
- The Alzheimer's Association in conjunction with Congregation Shir Hadash is offering a support group for Caregivers of people with Dementia and Alzheimer's Disease on Friday, August 13, from 10 - 11:30 am in Room 3. There is no charge and is open to the public. Anyone dealing with stress relating to caregiving is welcome to attend. Lois Tager, a Certified Senior Advisor has been conducting caregiving groups for a number of years and will be the facilitator for this group.
