Social Justice Event: Walk the Marriott Picket Line

“From the prophets of Jerusalem in the First Temple era to East End sweatshop strikers, Jews have stood up for social justice,” comments Yossi Wolfson in his article reclaiming Judaism.

In that spirit members of Congregation Shir Hadash will be standing alongside workers at the Marriott Hotel in San Jose who are still striking for a living wage and a fair contract.

Those of us who care deeply about justice for workers can support a picket line. Anyone of any age can participate. If you can join us please email David@ginsborg.org or call/text 408-483-0729.

WALK THE PICKET LINE
Nov 4, 3-6pm Join Rabbi Melanie Aron in walking a picket line for 3 hours. Having the support of the community, especially the Jewish Community is so important to striking workers who are making a major sacrifice to stand up for values we share.  If you are interested in carpooling from the Temple, let David@ginsborg.org know!

Finally, an extra way to help Marriott workers on strike. You can help spread awareness of the strike by sharing this post on Facebook.
