Memoir Writing Workshop

Registration is closed for this event

Have you ever wanted to preserve your family history for your children, grandchildren and friends?  If you would like to create a legacy and write your memoir, please join us for "Legacies", a four-part, self-paced memoir writing program.

Everyone has a story to tell.  Why are you the person you are today? What were the turning points? Was there a person or situation that had a profound effect on the way you look at life?  What would you like family members to remember about you?

Facilitated by Carol Aaron, a writer and former journalist, you will discuss how to use artifacts, family documents and web sites to help you write your memoir.  The class will provide handouts featuring questions to prompt you and help you decide what story to tell and the best way to tell it.  Stories will be shared. If you have something written, please bring it to the first class.

There is a  limit of 20, so please RSVP by August 4th.  The workshop will continue meeting monthly and will meet on Aug. 18, Sept. 15, Oct. 20 and Nov. 17.
