A Cantor’s Concert Featuring the Works of Leonard Bernstein

Registration is closed for this event

Life without music is unthinkable. Life without music is academic.
That is why my contact with music is a total embrace.

Leonard Bernstein

Registration is closed and we are at capacity, with a waiting list. Walk-ins will be seated after 7 p.m. if space permits. If there is no space in the main hall, walk-ins can listen to the concert from a seat in a nearby overflow room, if space is avaiable.

Shir Hadash invites everyone to a special havdalah program with Cantor Felder-Levy

and six of her esteemed colleagues to honor and celebrate the Jewish and secular works of

Leonard Bernstein on the centennial of his birth.

Cantor David Margules from Rodef Shalom, Marin

Cantor Leigh Korn from Temple Isaiah, Lafayette

Cantor Josh Breitzer from Congregation Beth Elohim, Brooklyn, New York

Accompaniment by Shir Hadash member Elizabeth Herman.

The Cantors will be performing some well-known compositions from West Side Story and Candide as well as a selection of Bernstein's Jewish compositions and some lesser known pieces.
