Facility Modification Guidelines

Planning something that affects the integrity or design of the facility? Contact the Aesthetics Committee first.

The Aesthetics Committee is responsible for maintaining the visual integrity and feeling of Shir Hadash’s worship and public spaces. The committee meets several times a year to review and approve projects that affect the overall look of the facility.

The Committee focuses on the development of interior and exterior design and color palettes.

The Committee oversees:

  • Visual elements including landscaping, paint, and all treatment and decoration
  • The Temple’s art collection
  • The approval of donations including: art, artifacts, and ritual objects
  • Determining placement, display, and rotation of all art pieces

All proposed projects must be submitted to the committee for review. Please call the office for more information.
