Live-stream / Zoom High Holy Day Services
Our community near and far, of all ages can celebrate the High Holy Days with us. At service, times click on over to our livestream to join us. All services will be available via zoom. Please check our calendar page, go to the service's day, and register for the zoom link. No membership needed. Shanah Tovah.

Congregants of all ages can celebrate the High Holy Days through our thoughtful array of virtual programming and services available for each age group. Please view our website calendar for times, details of each event or you may refer to our High Holy Day Brochure.

LIVESTREAMED SERVICES - About 15 minutes prior to the service, go to Shir Hadash TV at www.shirhadash.org/live and wait for the service to begin. No advance registration required.
Zoom - please register for zoom links. Registration opens two days before the service you would like to view.
NOTE: If you are unable to join us, we will post all of the High Holy Day sermons on our website after the holidays.

Students in grades 7–12 are welcome to attend these special programs led by our SALTY (Shir Hadash Adolescents Leading Teens and Youth) board. Connect with friends and discover new meaning for the High Holy Day season. Registration is required on the temple calendar.

Meditation before yom kippur for one who cannot fast
For anyone for whom it is not safe or recommended to fast (such as pregnant women, children, and many others in our community for various reasons) it is a mitzvah to NOT fast during the fast, in order to guard your health safely. Download the Meditation (PDF) to read for one who cannot fast.

You may purchase the physical copies of Mishkan HaNefesh set in advance at the temple office for $46 or use our loaner prayerbooks at services.
Public School and High Holy Days
Keeping your children out of school on Rosh Rabbi Schwartz if you would like to talk about this decision. If any issues come up for your children regarding missing school on Rosh HaShanah and Yom Kippur, contact JCRC Director Diane Fisher at (408) 357-7504.
