6:00 PM - 9:15 PMSanctuary and OnegEven though dinner registration will sell out shortly, there is still room for you to join at the non-dinner parts of the event, which include the communal service with Hanukkah songs, communal hanukkiah lighting, Hanukkah crafts, and dreidel competition.
IMPORTANT: Online registration for dinner has closed, due to only 10 remaining seats for the meal. Starting on Wednesday 12/17, call the office at (408) 358–1751 to see if there is any room left on the dinner list and if you are able to snag those last few dinner seats!
However, we are looking for volunteers to assist us with this exciting event, both day before and day of. We look forward to receiving your support in the following areas!

What do you get when you combine Shir Hadash’s signature Kabbalat Shabbat with the dazzling lights of Hanukkah? A very special Hanukkah Shabbat and Festival, of course!
Join us on Friday, December 19 for a Shabbat full of Hanukkah splendor, including a community Hannukiah lighting, delicious dinner, and special programs for adults and kids. Anyone from our community is welcome to join
in on the fun!

5:30pm: Casual schmooze with small bites

6pm: Shabbat Service & Hanukkah Candle Community Hanukkiah Lighting! Bring your Hanukkiah (Hanukkah Menorah) from home and we will do a community candle-lighting together of all of our Hanukkiah! This is the sixth night of Hanukkah, so you will need seven candles (6 + shamash).

7:20pm: Snacks and activities in the chapel for kids and snacks and chatting in the oneg room for adults.

7:45pm: Shabbat dinner, priced $12 per youth (age 0-12), $16 per adult for whom price may be a barrier, $24 per adult attendee, and $36 per adult attendee plus donation. We'll enjoy brisket, mini latkes, apple butter, sour cream (dairy will be tabled separately, non-dairy will also be available) and braised red cabbage catered by Wise Sons Jewish Delicatessen, as well as green salad, green beans, and a vegan saucy Seitan brisket prepared by Chefs Rachel and Sam.

8:15pm: Olive oil infusing for adults and Hanukkiah making/dreidel competition for kids. Enjoy a delicious sufganiyot treat on your way out!
