Thursday, January 22, 2026 • 4 Sh'vat 5786
11:30 AM - 1:00 PMOneg RoomThe Adult Ed Committee's “Nosh and Knowledge” guest speaker series will be held once a month in the Oneg Room with a variety of topics discussed ranging from current events, music, book reviews and authors, politics and much much more.
In this session with Rabbi Rafi Ellenson, published poet and translator (among other things!), we will explore the world of literary translation and discuss how translation can be used as a tool to affect social change. Through looking at literary theory, examples of poetry that Rabbi Rafi has translated, and a discussion of the importance and significance of translation in contemporary life, we will together learn how to deepen our lives through literature.
