Refugees in our local community need our support! Our Refugee Supplies Drive is a joint project of the Shir Hadash Caring Committee and Jewish Family Services of Silicon Valley, please support our supply drive!

WHEN:

• Drop off items from Friday, Sept 27 - Monday, Oct 14 at Shir Hadash.

Items Needed:

• Deodorant (all kinds, for men and for women)
• Laundry Detergent Sheets (NOT powder! - instead get the "sheets" style of detergent, similar to this example product - any brand is okay but it must say SHEETS type)
• Full-Size Shampoo (NOT trial size! Full-size only. 2-in-1 shampoo/conditioner combo is okay, but no only-Conditioner bottles as bottles of Conditioner will go unused).
• Full-Size Toothpaste, and Toothbrushes (NOT trial size! Full-size only.)

Jewish Family Services of Silicon Valley is a leading refugee resettlement agency in Northern California. Due to recent closures of refugee camps in other countries and the ongoing war in Ukraine, there is an unprecedented influx of refugees that JFS Silicon Valley is serving. The refugees we serve arrive in the US with as little as one suitcase or backpack of belongings. JFS connects them to their county benefits, so they can access their funding and EBT cards for grocery shopping. However, while they wait for their benefits to be activated, JFS provides them with many basic necessities.
