2 Years Old: Butterfly Class
Our two’s class
learns through play with art, nature, music, and more!
Children may enroll in the Butterfly class starting at age 2 and stay through the school year.
Some of our Butterflies were lucky enough to start in our tots program, and others are joining us for the first time. Development is so fast for at this age, and our Butterfly Classroom allows children starting after age two more access to “big kid” preschool activities, like playing on the playscapes with some of the older classes without the overwhelm of the older classroom. Having time with their own age range let’s them work on the skills that are developmentally appropriate for right now, along with having time to be exposed to a variety of skill levels and experience on the playground. This can lead to modeling more advanced social and language skills, and challenging themselves to take (safe) risks.
