We Welcome Senior Rabbi Nico Socolovsky
Congregation Shir Hadash President, Andrew Altman, along with four Settled Rabbi Search Committee members welcome Senior Rabbi Nico Socolovsky. View Rabbi Socolovsky's introduction and greeting to the congregation below:
About Us
"Shir Hadash" means “New Song,” and as a vibrant and evolving Reform Jewish congregation we join together through song, Torah study, and community. Founded in 1980, Shir Hadash is now a medium-sized congregation of almost 600 households, making us large enough to offer a large and diverse array of programs, but small enough to be a close-knit community promoting life-long connections and mutual support.
Passionate individuals founded Shir Hadash to be a safe haven for a diverse community that celebrated each other’s individualism. Today that tradition is kept alive through an actively involved community that promotes connectedness, exploration, social justice, individualism and lifelong learning.

- Donate: You can donate in honor or memory of someone, or give to a special fund for a specific purpose.
- Amazon Smile: When you shop via smile.amazon.com and select "Congregation Shir Hadash" as the recipient organization, a portion of your purchases is donated to Shir Hadash! It's simple - click this link to automatically set your donation recipient organization to Shir Hadash.
- Donate a Vehicle: We will arrange pick-up, transport, and all of the paperwork and Shir Hadash receives the proceeds.
- Visit our Gift Shop: All proceeds from gift shop sales benefit the Sisterhood and are used by Sisterhood for important temple programs such as the campership scholarship program.
- Legacy Circle - Planned Giving: When you make a legacy gift you are doing a mitzvah that is both financial and emotional. You are standing up and saying that you believe in our Shir Hadash community and want to ensure its long-term viability and stability through a financial gift. Please email us for more information.
