We are elevating life with Jewish Tradition

Shir Hadash is an inclusive synagogue community dedicated to heightening life with prayer, joyous music, immersive learning, deep connections, and active social responsibility. In the Torah, the concept of 'New Song' symbolizes joy, renewal, and transformation. It represents our shared commitment to an inspired evolution, reimagining our practices but always staying true to our core values. We stand at the crossroad where a Deep Love for Tradition meets Unapologetic Mindful Innovation. Rooted in the heart of Silicon Valley, we aspire to elevate life with down-to-earth Judaism.

We Believe

We Believe in Spirituality:
In a social environment that praises dispersion we cultivate attentiveness and hope. We nourish our souls with music, prayer and loving community, strengthening our connection with ourselves, with each other, and with God.

We Believe in Wisdom:
We are seekers, we are passionate students and expert arguers! In the study of Torah, we find strength, growth, and renewal. In this amazing and constantly evolving world, we are encouraged to be lifelong learners.

We Believe in Community:
We aspire to create an "I see you" and “We care for each other” culture. Inclusivity and Diversity are not our policy but the essence of our people. We are glad you are here!

We Believe in Social Responsibility:
Responsibility means listening, hearing the call, and answering. In a world often silent on injustice, we challenge apathy, using our collective strength to forge paths of compassion and healing.

Ways to Support Shir Hadash

We are so thankful to our members and bay area community for your support. Here are several convenient ways to support the ongoing work of Congregation Shir Hadash:

  • Donate: You can donate in honor or memory of someone, or give to a special fund for a specific purpose.
  • Donate a Vehicle: We will arrange pick-up, transport, and all of the paperwork and Shir Hadash receives the proceeds.
  • Legacy Circle - Planned GivingWhen you make a legacy gift you are doing a mitzvah that is both financial and emotional.  You are standing up and saying that you believe in our Shir Hadash community and want to ensure its long-term viability and stability through a financial gift. Please email us for more information.
