Our Philosophy
Adult Education at Shir Hadash offers lifelong learning opportunities that nourish the mind, heart and spirit of our Jewish community. Our goal is to enrich our lives through Jewish learning and exploration. We offer personal and communal growth, intellectual stimulation, spiritual experiences and a deeper connection with our history and traditions. We aim to bring Jewish values and culture into our everyday lives and build relationships through learning together as a community.
Our Adult Education Program welcomes a diverse community that celebrates connectedness, exploration, social justice, and lifelong learning.
Join our journey of continuous learning as we explore religion, Judaism, science, literature, Hebrew, Torah, relationships, interfaith understanding, ethics and other topics through lectures, discussions and community events.
Adult Education Mission Statement
At Shir Hadash, we create engaging Jewish learning programs for our adult community. We do this by exploring the richness of Jewish texts, history and culture. Our mission is to imbue a deeper understanding of Judaism, Israel, and Jewish identity for all of our members in an inclusive, friendly environment.
