About Torah Study

Beginning after Simchat Torah in the fall and weekly until Shavuot in the spring, Rabbi Aron leads a weekly Torah study in the library from 9:30 – 10:20 am. All are welcome and no special expertise is required.

Want to Study Torah?

Join us on Saturday mornings beginning in late October and weekly through the year in the library to study Parashat HaShavuah, through the eyes of Rabbi Mordechai Kaplan, found of Reconstructionist Judaism and father of the world’s first Bat Mitzvah. Check our calendar and look on Saturday morning to find the next session.

We will be using the Biblical text (Torah books will be available) and commentary found in Rabbi Steven Carr Reuben's book A Year With Modecai Kaplan Wisdom on the Weekly Torah Portion. Drop ins are always welcome.

Torah Study Focus This Year

The Weekly Torah Portion Through the Eyes of Rabbi Mordechai Kaplan, the weekly Torah portion with a newly published commentary: A Year With Mordechai Kaplan, by Steven Carr Reuben. The first session begins on October 26th. Check the calendar for details!
