SALTY Racial Justice Teen Resource Guide

The SALTY Racial Justice Teen Resource Guide, compiled by SAVP Aaron Wolf-Bloom, covers the issues of white privilege, police brutality, racial bias in criminal justice, voter suppression and racial educational inequality in the United States. By exploring the resources and becoming more aware of the issues, you are taking the first step towards making the United States a more just society. The goal of this document is to help educate people and spread awareness as well as provoke discussions and motivate people to take action. You can find the guide to download as a PDF here.

Our YOUTH GROUP (7TH - 12TH GRADE)

All students in grades 7-12 are invited to participate in our youth group!

It's community. It's leadership. It's friendship. It's belonging.

Youth group members have the opportunity to build friendships, develop lifelong Jewish identities, and grow leadership skills through community building, worship, social action and experiential youth-led programming. Our youth group provide a place to have FUN while learning, praying, and socializing. Throughout the year events are thrown about once a month that range from ice skating, movie nights, and escape rooms; to “shul-in” sleepovers and volunteering at the Purim Carnival; to Shabbat, high holy engagement, and social action projects.

Youth also have the opportunity to serve in leadership roles on the youth board, which guides the program for each year's activities. We are a bunch of teens who like hanging out together in a place to be understood, be supported, and feel connected.
