Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) - Produce Boxes
About
Order local organic produce for pick-up at Shir Hadash every Wednesday! It’s free to sign up for a CSA Membership and the program is very flexible. You can choose to receive a box weekly or bi-weekly and put it on hold when needed. Spade & Plow offers 4 different sizes of boxes ranging from $20 to $40 depending on the size of your family. Additionally, all boxes are customizable so members can add or substitute for each delivery.
You can add on fresh organic eggs from truly pasture-raised chickens, freshly-baked bread, and locally roasted coffee made from sustainably harvested fair-trade beans. The farm's fantastic website features weekly recipes and a blog as well.
Your box of freshly-picked produce will be delivered to Shir Hadash on Wednesdays and can be picked up between 1:00pm and 7:00pm. Any boxes not picked up by 7:00 pm will be left outside.
Meet Our Farmers
Spade & Plow Organics is a 40-acre, family-run Farm in San Martin, CA. They farm using only organic methods and focus on providing the community with the highest-quality produce possible. Their passions lie in maintaining optimal soil health and growing a diversity of crops to ensure Santa Clara County is well-fed with produce that tastes great. They are eager to introduce new varieties of produce to their consumers, introducing them to new flavors and an opportunity to make making meals more fun! Their fantastic website also features weekly recipes and a blog.
Produce Box Options
- Small Share: $20/box: Includes 6-9 items of certified organic fruits and vegetables, perfect for 1 or 2 people.
- Full Share: $30/box: Includes 11-13 items of certified organic, fruits and vegetables, perfect for families of 3 or 4 people.
- Large Share: $40/box: Our MONSTER share is perfect for 4 to 6 people and includes 15-17 items of certified organic and local fruits and vegetables.
- Bulk Share: $30/box: This Bulk box is their best value, with less variety but more of each item. Perfect for people that meal prep or large families that cook big meals. Contains 4 - 6 different items with large quantities of each item. This box is not customizable.
Contact and Enroll
As a CSA Program Member, you will automatically receive Sunday emails with the list of produce for that week. Spade & Plow's webstore will be open at that point and until Tuesday at 12 pm to be able to add on to or alter your order to your liking. This program is open to the whole community - you do not need to be a member of Shir Hadash to join the CSA Program.
