golda meir is coming to shir hadash! 

As Prime Minister of an embattled nation, Golda Meir's story is also the story of Israel. Peter Small, historical impersonator, comes to Shir Hadash to play...or, rather, as Golda Meir, and takes people on a journey back in time to see, hear, and speak to her in a fun and informative atmosphere. 

Rabbi Aron will provide additional historical background beforehand. 

Small is a former history teacher who brings his enthusiasm for teaching and love of history to his programs. His performances are in costumes appropriate to the characters and are performed in "first person" language as much as possible. Question and answer periods are always encouraged and establish some of the best moments of rapport with the audience! Friends and family are always welcome to join in.

About: The Retirees Lunch and Learn, a group of seniors that has been meeting at Congregation Shir Hadash for 10 years, has grown to some 200 members, with monthly programs attracting 40 people or more. Join us for the chance to visit, eat lunch, and hear a speaker or program.

Cost: Friends and family are invited to participate and are asked to make a $5 donation towards the cost of lunch. This donation is collected at the door. Groups of members alternate bringing in dessert.
