ON ALL OTHER NIGHTS… Shir Hadash Women’s Seder 2025

Shir Hadash Women, under the amazing organization of member Susan Cohen and the leadership of Cantor Devorah Felder-Levy, created for the women of our congregation a special Women’s Seder. Over 45 women attended the participatory Seder. The oneg room was transformed into a magical space of joyful women reading, singing, and dancing to the music with timbrels in hand to the piano accompaniment of Diane Fisher.
We did not follow a “traditional” Haggadah, but instead we embraced the rituals with a woman’s essence. Thanks to Susan Cohen and Cantor Felder-Levy for adding to our existing Shir Hadash women’s Haggadah, with its participatory readings, as well as thoughtful poetry, songs, and prayers.
Women shared wishes, dreams and hopes for the future at their tables and created new relationships. The food was amazing, the wine flowed and the magic of us sharing the special evening will be remembered…
