Teen Leaders: Our New SALTY Board

SALTY—Shir Hadash Adolescents Leading Teens and Youth—is all about building leadership, friendship, and Jewish identity in a fun, welcoming space for 7th–12th graders. On April 27th, we hosted one of our most important events of the year—elections for the 2025–2026 SALTY Board—and it was a huge success! We had an amazing turnout of teens ready to participate, support their friends, and help shape the future of our youth group. The afternoon kicked off with an icebreaker that got everyone talking and laughing, followed by a delicious spread of pizza, snacks, and drinks. After that, we heard thoughtful speeches from our candidates and jumped into a super creative Wikipedia Scavenger Hunt that had teams racing from clue to clue in a fast-paced challenge full of teamwork and friendly competition. We wrapped up by announcing and welcoming our new board of incredible teen leaders!
