We invite you to join us at this Shabbat service, all are welcome. The service will include a sermon from our clergy team and will also include a D'var Torah from Owen Roseman, who will become a Bar Mitzvah during the service. Let's celebrate together!

About Owen

Owen is an outgoing and good-natured middle schooler who brings enthusiasm to everything he does. At school, his favorite subject is History, thanks to a great teacher and creative, hands-on projects. Outside of the classroom, Owen stays active playing soccer and tennis year-round on both school and club teams. He’s also involved in Boys Team Charity (btc), where he enjoys volunteering and making a difference alongside his friends. In his free time, he enjoys playing sports with his friends, playing video games, and spending time with his family—and their lovable golden retriever/labrador mix. At Shir Hadash, what Owen likes most is the welcoming and supportive community.

Owen’s Torah portion is Naso, which includes a range of ancient rituals and practices. Among them are the laws surrounding a spouse suspected of unfaithfulness and the bringing of gifts to the Tabernacle—highlighting themes of responsibility, trust, and devotion within the community.

B'NAI MITZVAH

A Bar/Bat/B'nai Mitzvah  is a meaningful and important occasion! Everyone is welcome to attend a B'nai Mitzvah service, which is a communal Shabbat service for all.
