We invite you to join us at this Shabbat service, all are welcome. The service will include a sermon from our clergy team and will also include a D'var Torah from Hannah Wyman, who will become a Bat Mitzvah during the service. Let's celebrate together!

About Hannah

Hannah is a kind and thoughtful student at Hillbrook School where she feels supported by her friends. Her favorite subjects in school are English and Science, and the science experiments are particularly interesting to her. She is passionate about sports and plays soccer, basketball, and volleyball. She is in her 9th season playing soccer and her position on the team is the forward striker. In her spare time she enjoys being outside with her two dogs Taylor and Darby. For the future she is interested in pursuing a career related to either science and medicine or her love of animals.

Hannah's Torah portion is Acharei Mot-K'doshim, which covers special duties of the high priest, the ceremony of the scapegoat, and many commands and instructions on how to be a holy people. Hannah likes how this portion repeats the same lesson multiple times, but in different ways, so each time we can hear the message in a new way and gain deeper insight and understanding.  

B'NAI MITZVAH

A Bar/Bat/B'nai Mitzvah  is a meaningful and important occasion! Everyone is welcome to attend a B'nai Mitzvah service, which is a communal Shabbat service for all.
