Wednesday, November 1, 2023 • 17 Cheshvan 5784
1:00 PM - 2:00 PMChapel and Over ZoomExplore the ever-changing relationship between biology and ethics through the lens of Jewish tradition. Rabbi Michael, who has an MS in Medical Biochemistry, will lead us in considering the intersection of science and Judaism.
Each of the classes will cover one modern dilemma in bioethics, but approach it from Jewish tradition. We will take a topic, and, beginning in Torah, work through the body of Jewish literature to tease apart how we can use tradition to make sense of the dilemma. Examples of the types of topics that will be covered across the four classes include subjects such as Medical Assistance in Dying as well as Genetic Editing.
This is a hybrid class, available in-person in Room 1 on our Shir Hadash campus, or attend via Zoom. When you register below the Zoom information will be emailed to you.
