Erev Simchat Torah & Shemini Atzeret Dinner and Service

6:30 PM - 8:30 PMSukkah, Oneg, Patio, and Sanctuary

We'll have a dinner together and a joyful Simchat Torah - join the fun as we dance with the Torah and celebrate the start of the new Torah reading cycle for the year ahead.  

  • 5:45pm Dinner of delicious Burmese food! Our menu will be: Burmese Stir-Fried Vegetables, Garlic Noodles, Burmese-Style Pad Thai, Mango Salad, and Coconut Rice.
  • 6:10pm, Walk with the Torahs: We'll have a symbolic hakafah (parade) around our nearby neighborhood (about 1 mile) with our Torahs, returning to Shir Hadash to continue the service and celebration.
  • 6:30pm, Everyone in the Sanctuary for the Simchat Torah service, Hakafot, and dancing!
