About this Course: 

Despite what you think or may have heard, Judaism is actually a religion of love. This is the transformative claim at the core of Rabbi Shai Held’s groundbreaking book, Judaism is About Love: Reclaiming the Heart of Jewish Life. Hadar’s Project Zug invites you to engage deeply with this vision through a dynamic 10-session course that delves into the foundational texts that inspire R. Held’s theology.

In this course, you’ll discover and reclaim what R. Held calls the “heart” of Judaism. Whether you’ve already read the book and want to engage directly with the primary sources or are eager to follow the textual path that led to R. Held’s insights, this course is a unique opportunity to examine how and why Judaism is, at its core, about love—and to consider how this framework might transform your Jewish life and practice.

For those interested in the joining the evening (7pm) in-person study group, please register below! An afternoon offering (at 2pm) is also available. This study group will meet for 10 sessions on Thursdays - the specific Thursdays will be chosen after the group forms, with some Thursdays skipped to accommodate your participant schedules.
