SALTY youth board for our “Day of Action” at Family Supportive Housing

Do you want to volunteer and make a difference? 7th through 10th graders at Shir Hadash have a unique opportunity to directly impact homelessness in our community. Join the SALTY youth board for our “Day of Action” at Family Supportive Housing (FSH) in San Jose. We are looking forward to this meaningful day of social action in our community! From 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, SALTY youth will lead activities, play games, and make crafts with the child residents at FSH. Teen volunteers who have a legitimate interest in the issue of homelessness may participate, but spots are limited.

Can’t volunteer at FSH? No worries! You can still lend a hand: Donate to our congregation-wide linen drive, collecting new and gently-used sheets, towels, comforters, etc. to directly benefit the families at FSH. The linens we collect will create a direct impact: Families will take this bedding with them after they get on their feet! Starting mid-January, look for the labeled donation bins in the CSH religious school lobby and feel free to drop your linens!
