"the local housing crisis" with guest speaker angela evans

Angela “Angie” Evans is one of the organizers with the Housing Leadership Council of San Mateo County (HLC). She has a Master’s in Social Work with a public policy concentration and many years of experience in community organizing and leadership development. She was previously based in DC, where she managed campaigns focused on federal budget and appropriations, as well as the expansion of healthcare coverage. Angie helped the Mountain View Tenants Coalition, an entirely volunteer based entity, to pass the successful rent stabilization measure. She has volunteered with several housing organizations since moving to the Bay Area in 2014.

HLC is a membership organization that works with partners to preserve and expand the range and supply of adequate, accessible, and affordable housing for residents and workers of San Mateo County.

BABYSITTING

No-cost babysitting is available for children 6 and under at this Friday service for families attending the service. The parent/guardian must remain on premises after dropping children off. Babysitting is held in the Chapel room with age-appropriate toys for children to enjoy and a supervising babysitter. Children who are not potty-trained will be brought to a parent if a diaper change is needed during the service.
