A singing circle is a group of people who come together to share their voices in song. This is different from choir because instead of singing pre-arranged music, we add our voices and improvise harmonies to the normal prayers we use every Shabbat. No ability to read music is required, just the ability and desire to sing Shabbat music.

Singing circles foster connection, enhance spiritual awareness, and help to create a community of communal singing. Our Singing Circle currently meets periodically. We sing together for about an hour, learning music and playing with harmonies. Come join the Singing Circle, and then add your voice to Shabbat services!

We've been so happy to see an an increase in our congregational singing on Shabbat. Music is an integral part of Shir Hadash that can be experienced in many different ways. May we continue to be lifted through the gift of song within our community of Shir Hadash!
