Late S'lichot Service

On the Saturday night immediately before Rosh Hashanah, after Shabbat is over, Jews gather for special S'lichot (pentitential) prayers ushering in the holiness of the Days of Awe. The focus of the prayers is on repentance and reconciliation with many of the melodies we associate with Yom Kippur.
For those who wish to come out in the dark, we will have a late S'lichot service, outside, by candle light, assuming that conditions in our valley allow for outdoor gatherings at that time. Everyone will be masked and at a distance and all the music will be recorded so that we avoid the danger of singing around other people, but we think that the late night setting, which is the original timing of this service, and the darkness, will allow for a special spiritual experience.
Be sure to register ahead for this service, as we are limited by the number our Health Department recommends for outdoor gatherings.
Sorry, Registration has ended.
