Our hearts are broken as we follow the news coming from Israel. As horrifying news of the unprecedented terror attack on Israel unfolds, we pray for this violence to end swiftly.  JCRC Silicon Valley, Congregation Shir Hadash, Temple Emanu-El San Jose, JCC Los Gatos, and UnXeptable are coming together for this South Bay Jewish Community Vigil for Israel. All Jewish community members, organizations, and allies are welcome.

Together We Pray

• We pray for the wounded, 
• We pray for the wellbeing and prompt release of the captives, 
• We pray for the civilians fighting for their lives as their villages are attacked,
• We pray for the IDF soldiers, for their success בצאתם as “they go out” (to the battle field) and for their well being בבואם “as they return”.
• We pray and cry for the souls of those who have been brutally taken from us and With those that are grieving the loss of their beloved ones.

We stand in solidarity with everyone in Israel, praying for peace. The event will provide a space for the community to come together in tears, in song, and in prayer.  There will be an opportunity to light candles and to connect with each other in this painful time.
