AWARENESS THROUGH MOVEMENT 

The Feldenkrais Method, a widespread holistic approach to optimizing human functioning is useful in promoting creativity, comfort, endurance and healthy functioning and in helping to prevent and address injuries such as Repetitive Stress Injury, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Tendinitis, back pain. The Feldenkrais Method develops a functional awareness of the self. Developed by Moshe Feldenkrais DSc, physicist, engineer, martial artist and educator, this method has been used for over 50 years to improve the quality of life, worldwide, in tens of thousands of people.

Feldenkrais lessons result in:

  • Improved breathing
  • Increased relaxation
  • Increased strength
  • Greater overall sense of well-being

Please bring a mat and dress in warm, layered, comfortable clothing. 
These weekly sessions are offered on a drop-in basis. $5 suggested donation to Shir Hadash.


Instructor, Beth Sidlow is a Guild Certified Feldenkrais Practitioner and assistant trainer. She maintains a private practice in San Jose, working with children and adults of all ages. She also teaches Awareness Through Movement classes weekly. Beth’s clinical work helps people with pain and neurological disorders, as well as those wishing to improve performance in sports and the arts.
