Overview

Welcome to the Growing Together Task Force home page.

Many of you have told us how deeply you care about Shir Hadash today—and how much you want to contribute to shaping our tomorrow. To channel that energy, Rabbi Nico has asked co-chairs Bruce Hartman and Joy Spodick to launch the Growing Together Task Force.

The task force is orchestrating Town Hall meetings for everyone. We’re hosting Town Halls between August and October - casual, conversational gatherings of 15 people where congregants can become more connected, share ideas, and provide their dreams for our future.

Bruce and Joy will aggregate the input from the Town Halls and present their findings to President Stuart Katzman, the Board, and our Clergy in November. A summary will also be shared at the December congregational meeting. This final report will launch phase 2, where the Board and Clergy will take action to refine and grow our collective vision.

Our goal is to reach 200–300 members through these Town Halls and bring as many voices as possible into the conversation.

Shir Hadash evolves when its members speak up. Sign-up for a Town Hall, lend your perspective, and help us all grow together.

• A calendar of town halls - please reserve your spot. Each town hall is limited to 15 people.
• The list of Task Force members. Note these volunteers represent a diverse group of congregants with the full range of perspectives. These individuals will lead the Town Hall meetings.
• A progress chart, showing how many congregants we have reached
• A Wordcloud. While the information collected is being compiled and organized for the November report to the Board, we will ask each participant in the town halls to provide 3 words that best describe what they aspire from Shir Hadash. The Wordcloud will share those words, showing a high level view of the growing slate of input.

In addition, you will find a short video presentation from Rabbi Nico sharing the Shir Hadash vision.
