8:00 PM - 9:00 PMPlease register below and the Zoom link will be sent to you in an emailOn the Saturday night immediately before Rosh Hashanah, after Shabbat is over, Jews gather for special S'lichot (pentitential) prayers ushering in the holiness of the Days of Awe. The focus of the prayers is on repentance and reconciliation with many of the melodies we associate with Yom Kippur. It is a short but deeply meaningful way to begin the High Holy Days.
This year we will be marking S'lichot in two ways. Join us tonight for about 45 minutes of prayer and song via Zoom to prepare ourselves for the days to come. The theme of the service is "Hashiveinu," the verse from the book of Lamentations which says, "Turn us back to You, O Eternal, and we will be restored; Renew our days as of old.'" These words will weave in and out of our service, with different melodies, helping us to focus on how we might wish to return to our core values and beliefs.
Register below and we will send you the Zoom link.
At 10:00 pm, for those who wish to come out in the dark, we will have a S'lichot service, outside, by candle light. Click HERE For more information.
