Scamming - Consumer Fraud/Protection Unit of the county district attorney's office

Have you ever received a call from a spammer? How about a sneaky scam email that looked rather believable? What about fraudsters showing up at your doorstep with some sort of story/pitch to you? These days as spammers and scammers become more and more sophisticated, and as email "phishing" spammers try new tactics, it's critical to stay aware of the latest trends to keep yourself and your loved ones safe from fraud!

It's an amazing opportunity, OPEN TO ALL, to come and learn from the Santa Clara County District Attorney's office specialists in the Consumer Fraud Protection Unit. This free event is open to the general public, everyone is invited to attend and learn!

The first 30 minutes will a presentation from expert Preslli Ponce as we find out how to avoid becoming a victim of fraud. After the presentation there will be a Question and Answer session for an additional 30 minutes.

Registering below is encouraged - that we can ensure that we have enough chairs set out and enough water, tea, coffee, and cookies. This event will be in the 'Oneg Room' which is a room inside of the main Sanctuary building on the Shir Hadash campus in Los Gatos.
