Oskar Schindler, Thomas Keneally, and My Parents: Holocaust Legacy

Monday, May 6, 2024 28 Nisan 5784

12:00 PM - 1:30 PMZoom

Presenter Marie Knecht is the daughter of Leopold and Ludmila Pfefferberg-Page. Don't miss this opportunity to learn directly from Marie about her family's meaningful Holocaust legacy story - a particularly poignant and important event to focus on for this year's Yom HaShoah (Holocaust Rememberance Day).

From Marie: "My father is the person who met author Thomas Keneally in our handbag store in Beverly Hills in 1980, and said, “I have a story for you.” My parents often told the story of how Oskar and Emilie Schindler saved their lives during the Holocaust; which became the book and movie Schindler’s List. I play Euphonium and Percussion in the LA Winds and my husband Jeffrey plays clarinet. I am also fitness professional teaching classes to active adults since 2013 with my company MPK Fitness. My goal this year and for the future is to tell my parents’ story so future generations will never forget."

This learning opportunity will be via Zoom - register below to be sent the Zoom access details.
